WE recently carried out some investigations of the “P factor” action of isoramnetol (3-metoxyquercetol) in view of the use of sea buckthorn berries as a source of vitamin C. The therapeutic activity of vitamin C is enhanced by the presence of flavonoids and it is known that sea buckthorn berries contain isoramnetol flavonoids1,2.

Increased Capillary Permeability in Haemophilia and Afibrinogenaemia

In patients with various disorders of haemostasis and in 13 controls we studied the capillary permeability to human 99Tc-albumin. In 16 haemophiliacs, in 2 afibrinogenaemics and in 1 out of 3 patients with von Willebrand’s disease with a factor VIII level of about 15% we observed a marked increase of capillary permeability.
