HUMAN CAPITAL AND SUSTAINABILITY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT [PDF]

open access: yes
The strategies and policies of agricultural and rural development, within the overall long-term area development, traditionally lean on natural-resource capital and certain differential-rent advantages.

Use of the community capitals framework to understand adaptation of silvopastoral systems: Bridging the gap between research and development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Research on sociology of adoption and diffusion seems to highlight the separation between agricultural and natural resources research efforts, and its relevance and application (so called adoption) by local producers.

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 9, 12 February 2026.
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

The Relative Richness of the Poor? Natural Resources, Human Capital and Economic Growth [PDF]

open access: yes
What is the role of natural resources in economic performance? Are there any special conditions in which natural resources can act as the engine of growth? Are natural resources a curse?

Colloid‐Mediated Synthesis of Hierarchically Porous Amorphous Catalyst for Durable Industrial‐Scale Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A colloid‐mediated electroless plating (CMEP) strategy is proposed to fabricate hierarchically porous, amorphous Fe‐doped NiWB electrocatalysts under ambient conditions. The in situ formation of Fe‐W‐O colloidal species guides the formation of robust, porous catalyst layers with excellent mass transfer and durability, sustaining 500 mA cm−2 for 2000 h,

A High-Resolution Map of Singapore’s Terrestrial Ecosystems

open access: yesData, 2019
The natural and semi-natural areas within cities provide important refuges for biodiversity, as well as many benefits to people. To study urban ecology and quantify the benefits of urban ecosystems, we need to understand the spatial extent and ...

Maximize the Electrocatalytic Activity of Pt Toward Ethanol Oxidation via Engineering PdPt1 Single‐Atom Alloy Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Maximizing atomic utilization of Pt is crucial for efficient electrocatalysis. We constructed a tensile‐strained PdPt1 single‐atom alloy (SAA) skin by implanting atomically dispersed Pt onto the surface of intermetallic Pd5Bi3 core‐ultrathin Pd shell octahedrons, fully exposing active Pt atoms to boost ethanol oxidation electrocatalysis.
