Production of caprine and bovine in vitro-fertilised as well as parthenogenetic embryos and an attempt to vitrify in vivo- and in vitro-derived embryos / Tan Wei Lun [PDF]
The main objective of this research was to determine the effects of oocyte grading and insemination duration on cleavage rate of embryos obtained from in vitro fertilisation (IVF) in bovine and caprine species.

ASIP Variants in Livestock: It's Not Black and White
ABSTRACT Fur and feather pigmentation play an important role in the survival and reproduction of many species, as well as in selective breeding and agriculture. The synthesis of pigment molecules, eumelanin and pheomelanin, is partially regulated by the agouti signalling protein (ASIP) encoded by the ASIP gene.

Targeting Myostatin for Sustainable Meat Production: Insights From Multiple Species
ABSTRACT Myostatin gene (MSTN), a TGF‐β superfamily member, negatively regulates skeletal muscle growth, positioning it as a prime genetic target for enhancing livestock meat production. This review synthesizes evidence from 1979 to 2025 on MSTN mutations across cattle, pigs, poultry, sheep, goats, and rabbits, emphasising impacts on yield, quality ...

Limosilactobacillus mucosae maintained viability above 7 log CFU/g during storage of the fermented goat milk with inulin and Cereus jamacaru jam and survived over 4 log CFU/g during the in vitro gastrointestinal simulation. This jam enriched the total phenolic content of the fermented milk that achieved overall acceptability scores close to or above 7.
