Dielectric investigation of the tetrahydrofuran+caprylic acid system
Physics and Chemistry of Liquids, 2011Dielectric studies have been carried out for the binary mixture of tetrahydrofuran (THF) with caprylic acid at temperatures 303, 308, 313 and 318 K. The Kirkwood correlation factors, excess permittivity and excess free energy of the mixture were found through dielectric measurements for different concentrations of the system.

Abstract Ordered mesoporous silica (MS) materials were prepared using Pluronic P123 (triblock copolymer poly(ethylene glycol)–block–poly(propylene glycol)–block–poly(ethylene glycol)) and poly(ethylene glycol) as dual templates, and functionalized with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane using the postsynthesis-grafting method.

Model-free kinetics applied to the vaporization of caprylic acid
Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2009The evaporation of octanoic (caprylic) acid was investigated by means of thermogravimetric analysis (temperature range: 300–600 K) under a nitrogen dynamic atmosphere (heating rates: 0.16, 0.31, 0.63, 1.25, 2.5, 5 and 10 K min−1). Kinetic plots for a zero-order process were constructed based on the Arrhenius equation.
