Knotless Suture Staple Remplissage for Hill‐Sachs Lesions in the Beach Chair Position

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract The addition of remplissage to arthroscopic Bankart repair in the presence of a Hill‐Sachs lesion can help decrease recurrence of anterior shoulder instability. The remplissage procedure often involves passage of suture from anchors in the Hill‐Sachs lesion to the extra‐articular side of the shoulder capsule followed by knot tying.

The Effects of Nd: YAG Laser Capsulotomy on Visual Acuity, Macular Thickness, and Intraocular Pressure in Diabetic Patients

open access: yes, 2015
Objectives: To compare macular thickness, best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), and intraocular pressure (IOP) changes after Nd: YAG laser capsulotomy for posterior capsule opacification (PCO) in diabetic and non-diabetic eyes.

Dual Portal Closure of Periportal Capsulotomy for Hip Arthroscopy

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Capsular management in hip arthroscopy is an area of ongoing research, where ease of access to the hip joint is balanced with the preservation of capsular integrity and stability. Traditional techniques such as interportal and T capsulotomies allow broad exposure but may increase the risk of postoperative instability or microinstability if not

The Effect of Nd: YAG Laser Capsulotomy on Visual Acuity, Intraocular Pressure, Central Corneal Thickness, and Refractive Status

open access: yes, 2014
Objectives: To evaluate the changes in best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), intraocular pressure (IOP), central corneal thickness (CCT), and spherical equivalent (SE) before and after Nd: YAG laser capsulotomy.

Study of Variation in Intraocular Pressure Spike (IOP) Following Nd- YAG Laser Capsulotomy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2016
Introduction: Posterior Capsular Opacifications (PCO) is a frequent complication of cataract surgery following posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation. Nd –Yag laser capsulotomy is the treatment of choice for PCO and is known to be associated

Changes of intraocular lens position induced by Nd:YAG capsulotomy

open access: yesBiomedical Papers, 2022
Aims. The aim of this study was to evaluate the changes in IOL position (axial shift, tilt and decentration) in the capsular bag after Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy and to create a user-friendly software that is optimized for the output of available imaging ...

Challenging Resection Comes in Many Forms: Addressing Difficult Cam Morphology

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Femoroacetabular impingement with cam morphology that fails nonoperative management can be addressed with hip arthroscopy and cam resection. There exists a wide variation of cam morphology due to various etiologies that can make some cam lesions more challenging to address. A thorough preoperative evaluation and the utilization of a variety of

Arthroscopic Segmental Labral Reconstruction Using a Presutured Iliotibial Band Allograft Soaked in Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Labral reconstruction is a surgical procedure in which a graft is used to replace irreparable acetabular labral tissue. Biologic augmentation with bone marrow aspirate concentrate harvested from the ipsilateral iliac crest is increasingly used to enhance graft incorporation and potentially improve functional outcomes, especially in patients ...
