Car Ownership and Car Use: A Psychological Perspective

2021
Car use has a negative impact on the environment and quality of life. CO2-emissions resulting from car-use contribute to global warming, and the particulate matters released to the air reduces the quality of air, thereby posing health threats. Despite these negative consequences, many people still prefer to own and use a car.

Hybrid Cars Now, Fuel Cell Cars Later

Science, 2004
We compare the energy efficiency of hybrid and fuel cell vehicles as well as conventional internal combustion engines. Our analysis indicates that fuel cell vehicles using hydrogen from fossil fuels offer no significant energy efficiency advantage over hybrid vehicles operating in an urban drive cycle.

cAR

Proceedings of The International Symposium on Pervasive Displays, 2014
We present Contact Augmented Reality (cAR), a form of AR where a mobile device with a transparent display rests on top of the augmented object. cAR is based on the notion that interactions with digital content are enriched by the tangibility of physically moving a device on and off the augmented object.
