open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Araucanian herring (Strangomera bentincki) is a pelagic fish whose main processed products are fishmeal and oil. The complete mitogenome is 16,758 bp, consisting of 13 coding genes, two rRNAs, 22 tRNAs, and the control region.
