Asymmetric Aziridination of Allylic Carbamates using Ion‐Paired Rhodium Complexes and Extrapolation to C‐H Amination of Phenethyl Carbamates

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Aziridination of alkenes is an important route to chiral nitrogen‐containing building blocks. Here we report that carbamate‐functionalized allylic alcohols undergo highly enantioselective aziridination using achiral dimeric Rh(II,II) complexes that are ion‐paired with cinchona alkaloid‐derived chiral cations.

Cooperative Carbon Dioxide Adsorption in Alcoholamine- and Alkoxyalkylamine-Functionalized Metal-Organic Frameworks. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A series of structurally diverse alcoholamine- and alkoxyalkylamine-functionalized variants of the metal-organic framework Mg2 (dobpdc) are shown to adsorb CO2 selectively via cooperative chain-forming mechanisms.

Metal‐Mediated Protein Engineering within Live Cells

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, Volume 20, Issue 6, March 17, 2025.
This review discusses how metal ions can mediate protein modification within live cells. With its easy handling, rapid solubility, and ease of internalization within the cells, metal ions can be an excellent stimulus for many organic reactions needed within an intracellular medium, which can modify proteins and lead to applications in chemistry ...

Advances in Metal‐Free Transamidation: A Sustainable Approach to Amide Bond Formation

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
This review highlights the recent developments of transamidation reactions under metal‐free reaction conditions. Various amines including weak nucleophilic amines such as aromatic amines have been used to achieve the transamidation reactions under mild and relatively green reaction conditions. Abstract The amide functionalities are a crucial functional
