Colistin resistance in Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strains.
2016Objective: Because of the increase in the infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing K. pneumoniae; nowadays colistin is used more frequently. In this study, the firstly detected colistin resistance in carbapenem-resistant KPC-producing K. pneumoniae strains were evaluated.

[Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae following foreign travel].
Nederlands tijdschrift voor geneeskunde, 2010This is the first report of 3 patients in whom carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae was identified in the Netherlands following foreign travel. They were a 55-year-old man who had undergone chemotherapy for lung cancer metastases, a 66-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man.
