: A Carbodiimide with an Innovative Approach for Energy Storage Systems and Phosphors in Modern LED Technology

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceThe carbodiimide SnCN(2)was prepared at low temperatures (400 degrees C-550 degrees C) by using a patented urea precursor route. The crystal structure of SnCN(2)was determined from single-crystal data in space groupC2/c(no.

Bioadhesive Hydrogel With Polyphenol‐Armored Nanogene Rejuvenates Chondrocyte Senescence for Aged Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.

Self‐Amplifying Redox Cycle Triggers Ferroptosis/Cuproptosis Synergy for Enhanced Bacterial Eradication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study designs a targeted nanocomposite (ct@HMCF‐Dex) that responds to acidic infection microenvironments, releasing components which amplify oxidative stress. It disrupts bacterial redox balance, chelates metals to sustain lipid peroxidation, and synergistically induces cuproptosis/ferroptosis‐like death.

Evaluation of the performance of two carbodiimide-based cyanine dyes for detecting changes in mRNA expression with DNA microarrays

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2005
Microarrays have been extensively used to investigate genome-wide expression patterns. Although this technology has been tremendously successful, several practical issues would benefit from improvements in design.

Rational Design of Broad‐Spectrum Anti‐Enteroviral Molecular Glues Targeting Enteroviral RNAi Suppressors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By leveraging this homodimerization mechanism, molecular glues were rationally designed to induce dysfunctional 3A dimerization, thereby restoring antiviral RNAi. The optimal molecular glue, VTP‐32, demonstrated potent and pan‐enterovirus (groups A, B, D) antiviral effects.

Sol – Gel Modelling Associated with the Rheology of Polymeric Precursors of Ceramic Materials

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2003
A general constitutive relation describing the change of viscoelastic behavior during the liquid - solid (sol - gel) transition which takes place in preceramic polymers is derived on the basis of Jeffrey’s 3-constants model with time dependent ...

Dual Physiological Barriers Bypassed by a Silk‐Based Supramolecular Protein Delivery Platform for Neuroinflammation Mitigation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A supramolecular nanocomplex based on phenolic‐modified silk sericin is developed to deliver antioxidant enzymes across the blood–brain barrier and escape lysosomal degradation. This dual‐barrier‐crossing system reduces neuroinflammation and improves cognitive performance in Alzheimer's disease mouse model, offering a promising strategy for protein ...

Laser‐Induced Periodic Phase‐Transition of 2D‐MoTe2 Nanograting Template for Frequency‐Shift Digital‐SERS Immunoassay of Autoimmune Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A protocol of fs‐laser‐induced periodic phase‐transition of 2D‐MoTe2 template, inducing AuNPs@1T’‐MoTe2 nanograting, is developed. The labeled AuNPs@1T’‐MoTe2 substrate conjugated with specialized immunoglobulin G demonstrates an unexpectedly high discrimination accuracy close to unity for serological diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis by frequency ...

Slowing Down Water: Enhanced and Cation‐responsive MRI Contrast

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The controlled modification of mesoporous silica nanoparticle side walls with kosmotropic motifs supports an ability to reduce water diffusive mobility and dramatically increase MRI contrast to levels unprecedented for highly kinetically stable Gd‐DOTA configurations (both q = 1 and q = 0).
