Deciphering the catalytic and pharmacological mechanisms of Coptis chinensis herbzymes to renovate intestinal microenvironment for colitis alleviation

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The synthesized CCzymes possess both antioxidant enzyme activity and pharmacological properties inherent to Coptis chinensis. By their antioxidant enzyme activity, CCzymes can attenuate oxidative stress within the inflammatory region of ulcerative colitis (UC), while their pharmacological activity acts on macrophage polarization and the intestinal ...

A Novel Method for the Synthesis of Carbodiimide

open access: yesNippon kagaku zassi, 1971

Promiscuous Ability of Human Carbonic Anhydrase: QM and QM/MM Investigation of Carbon Dioxide and Carbodiimide Hydration

open access: yes, 2016
The hydration of carbodiimide, isoelectronic with carbon dioxide, mediated by human carbonic anhydrase (EC 4.2.1.1) was studied at theoretical level in comparison with the native substrate. Quantum-mechanical (QM) and combined quantum-mechanics/molecular-

Synthesis and Isolation of Bismuth Scorpionate Complexes: Toward Bond Activation via Bismuth‐Ligand Cooperation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over the past twenty years, main group chemistry has significantly expanded its scope to include reactivities once considered the exclusive domain of transition metals. Among the emerging concepts, element‐ligand cooperation has proven to be a powerful strategy for enabling bond activation reactions but remains relatively unexplored for ...

Harnessing Random Polymers as Chemoselective Catalysts With Structural Adaptability: Epoxidation of Olefinic Quaternary Ammonium Salts via Charge Recognition

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The development of chemoselective catalysts that operate across structurally diverse substrates remains a long‐standing challenge. Here, we demonstrate that a random heteropolymer bearing carboxylic acid and urea residues functions as a general epoxidation catalyst for olefinic quaternary ammonium salts.
