Carbon resource reallocation with emission quota in carbon emission trading system

Journal of Environmental Management, 2023
In this study, a two-stage data envelopment analysis approach is developed to examine resource allocation in a real-world carbon emissions trading system. First, this study focuses on the actual participation process of incorporated units in the trading system, where incorporated units will be allocated with a carbon emission quota.

Impact of digital trade on regional carbon emissions

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
In the context of the dual carbon targets, digital trade brings new impetus to China's economic development to achieve low-carbon emission reduction. This article uses panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020, and uses a two-way fixed effect model to empirically investigate the impact of digital trade development on regional carbon ...

Carbon Trading with Imperfectly Observable Emissions

Environmental and Resource Economics, 2003
The Kyoto Protocol foresees emission trading but does not yet specify verification of (uncertain) emissions. This paper analyses a setting in which parties can meet their emission targets by reducing emissions, by investing in monitoring (reducing uncertainty of emissions) or by (bilaterally) trading permits.
