Internamentos por intoxicação com monóxido de carbono em Portugal.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 2011
The prevalence of carbon monoxide intoxication in the World shows that this is a common situation. In Portugal, there are no concrete data available in literature and its incidence remains unknown.

Investigating Trends in Atmospheric Compositions of Cool Gas Giant Planets Using Spitzer Secondary Eclipses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We present new 3.6 and 4.5 micron secondary eclipse measurements for five cool (less than approximately 1000 K) transiting gas giant planets: HAT-P-15b, HAT-P-17b, HAT-P-18b, HAT-P-26b, and WASP-69b. We detect eclipses in at least one bandpass for all planets except HAT-P-15b.

Carbon monoxide exposure inside UK road vehicles: a pilot study

open access: yesEnvironment International
Environmental CO presents a risk to public health. The effects of chronic low-level CO exposure are well-documented, with pregnant women, the unborn and children being particularly vulnerable. Although a number of studies have investigated the phenomenon,

Carbon Monoxide as Indoor Pollutant in Kano Metropolis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Sciences and Environmental Management, 2010
The level of carbon monoxide concentrations in three different residential areas of Kano municipality has been determined. Health effects of carbon monoxide are not only determined by its pollution level, but the time spent breathing polluted air ...

First Principles Study of Carbon Monoxide Adsorption on Zirconia-Supported Copper [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
We have calculated the adsorption energy of carbon monoxide on a monolayer of copper adsorbed on the (111) face of cubic zirconia. We investigate the structural parameters of three phases of bulk zirconia (cubic, tetragonal, and monoclinic) and find excellent agreement with experiment.

Methane present in an extrasolar planet atmosphere [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
Molecules present in exoplanetary atmospheres are expected to strongly influence the atmospheric radiation balance, trace dynamical and chemical processes, and indicate the presence of disequilibrium effects. Since molecules have the potential to reveal the exoplanet atmospheric conditions and chemistry, searching for them is a high priority.

Emergency carbon monoxide poisoning therapy for petroleum industry workers [PDF]

open access: yesHalo 194, 2020
Introduction/Aim Carbon monoxide (CO) is a gas produced by incomplete combustion of carbon compounds and is a leading cause of poising throughout the world. The objective of this paper is to analyze 5 cases of acute carbon monoxide poisoning in petroleum
