Carbon stock variability of Setiu Lagoon mangroves and its relation to the environmental parameters
Mangroves are well known for their ability to sequester and store a large amount of carbon within their plant parts and sediment. This characteristic is termed as blue carbon and important to combat the global warming through carbon sink and carbon ...

Estimation of Carbon Stock in The Seagrass Meadows of Jelenga Bay, West Sumbawa, Indonesia [PDF]
Blue carbon is a term used to describe the carbon stored in coastal and marine ecosystems. Research and conservation of blue carbon sinks like seagrass meadows are important in mitigating global climate change. This research aimed to estimate blue carbon

Estimating area, standing carbon stock, and potential carbon stock of degraded forests in China
With the rapid economic development and continuous expansion of human activities, forest degradation—characterized by reduced forest stock within the forest including declining carbon storage—poses significant threats to ecosystem stability. Understanding the current status of forest degradation and assessing potential carbon stocks in China are of ...

A migration‐permissive bioink composed of methacrylated collagen type I and thiolated hyaluronic acid enables 3D bioprinting of breast cancer‐stroma models. Single‐cell tracking reveals that adipose stromal cells enhance tumor cell motility and stromal invasion, accompanied by collagen remodeling, and a shift in tumor cell morphology.

Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

Options for monitoring and estimating historical carbon emissions from forest degradation in the context of REDD+ [PDF]
Measuring forest degradation and related forest carbon stock changes is more challenging than measuring deforestation since degradation implies changes in the structure of the forest and does not entail a change in land use, making it less easily ...

Estimating above and below ground carbon stock of forest using field inventory and vegetation indices: A case study of Godebie National Park, Ethiopia [PDF]
Forests are the potential source for managing carbon sequestration and balancing universal carbon equilibrium between sources and sinks. In view of the importance of biomass, this study makes an attempt to estimate temporal and spatial carbon stock of ...
