Mineralogy and petrology of Dominion Range 08006: A very primitive CO3 carbonaceous chondrite
Here we report the relative degrees of thermal metamorphism for five Antarctic Ornans-like carbonaceous (CO) chondrites, including Dominion Range (DOM) 08006, as determined from the Cr-content of their FeO-rich (ferroan) olivine.

The presence of primary iron sulfides that appear to be aqueously altered in CM and CR carbonaceous chondrites provides the potential to study the effects and, by extension, the conditions of aqueous alteration.

Creating Ti–Fe α/β Alloys by Diffusion‐Driven Solid‐State Processing
This study proposes making alloys containing fast diffusing elements that are difficult to produce by ingot metallurgy, by diffusion‐driven solid‐state HIP processing of elemental powders and low‐temperature homogenisation. Here, novel Fe‐Ti α–β alloys are formed having fine α–β lamellae, a small β prior grain size without significant intermetallics ...

Kivesvaara C2 chondrite: silicate petrography and chemical composition [PDF]
Fragments of the Kivesvaara meteorite were said to have been found in Paltamo, northern Finland in 1968. The chemical and mineral composition and the textural features show that this meteorite is a rare C2 carbonaceous chondrite.

Sintering of Grains of Some Carbonaceous Substances
