Enhanced Reservoir Description in Carbonate and Clastic Reservoirs
Proceedings of Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, 2007Abstract The reservoir is composed of a mixture of dolomite, limestone, anhydrite and shale interstratified with sandstones member. The sandstone is predominantly poorly consolidated and quartz rich. Much of the sand is medium grained although coarser sand is common in the lowermost thick sandstone units.

Abstract This core workshop is the product of an effort by the SEPM Carbonate Research Group to emphasize the value of careful core interpretation to hydrocarbon exploration and production programs. Initially conceived as a small conference the format was expanded in response to strong interest from the geologic community.

Reservoir Modeling and Simulation of a Middle Eastern Carbonate Reservoir
SPE Reservoir Engineering, 1997Summary A giant Middle Eastern reservoir was modeled and history matched during reservoir simulation. The model was used to help predict reservoir performance under various scenarios and to evaluate the impact on production rates, ultimate recovery, and economics.
