Integrated Reservoir Modelling of a Major Arabian Carbonate Reservoir

Middle East Oil Show, 1995
ABSTRACT This paper presents the results of an integrated reservoir management study of a large carbonate reservoir. Geostatistical and scale averaging tools were used to develop detailed geologic models and a simulation window model.

Robust Reservoir Characterisation of UAE Heterogeneous Carbonate Reservoirs

Middle East Oil Show, 2003
Abstract This study is conducted to test and evaluate the use of current methods of reservoir characterization, namely the permeability-porosity correlation, the J-function, and the Reservoir Quality Index (RQI) concepts, for reservoir description of heterogeneous carbonate formations.

Enhanced Reservoir Description in Carbonate and Clastic Reservoirs

Proceedings of Asia Pacific Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, 2007
Abstract The reservoir is composed of a mixture of dolomite, limestone, anhydrite and shale interstratified with sandstones member. The sandstone is predominantly poorly consolidated and quartz rich. Much of the sand is medium grained although coarser sand is common in the lowermost thick sandstone units.

Carbonate Reservoir Rocks

1980
Abstract This core workshop is the product of an effort by the SEPM Carbonate Research Group to emphasize the value of careful core interpretation to hydrocarbon exploration and production programs. Initially conceived as a small conference the format was expanded in response to strong interest from the geologic community.

Reservoir Modeling and Simulation of a Middle Eastern Carbonate Reservoir

SPE Reservoir Engineering, 1997
Summary A giant Middle Eastern reservoir was modeled and history matched during reservoir simulation. The model was used to help predict reservoir performance under various scenarios and to evaluate the impact on production rates, ultimate recovery, and economics.

Carbonate reservoir interaction with supercritical carbon dioxide

International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2013
Abstract It is well known that with continued production from wet gas reservoirs, the reservoir pressure eventually falls below the dew point pressure leading to condensation and loss of gas productivity in the reservoir.

Statistical Evaluation of Reservoir Rock Type in a Carbonate Reservoir

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2011
Abstract Reservoir rock type determination is one of the main parameters for simulation and prediction of the hydrocarbon reservoir behavior. Hence, it is of great importance to use a method which is capable of determining the rock type accurately.
