Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...

Rapid determination of organic carbon in carbonate rocks.

open access: yesJournal of the Japanese Association for Petroleum Technology, 1990
A rapid method for determination of organic carbon in carbonate rocks has been developed to replace the normal procedure in which carbonate samples are pretreated with hydrochloric acid to decompose carbonate minerals. The method involves dry combustion of organic material in an oxygen stream and subsequent measuring of carbon dioxide (CO2) generated ...

Capillary Trapping of CO2 in Oil Reservoirs: Observations in a Mixed-Wet Carbonate Rock.

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Technology, 2016
Early deployment of carbon dioxide storage is likely to focus on injection into mature oil reservoirs, most of which occur in carbonate rock units. Observations and modeling have shown how capillary trapping leads to the immobilization of CO2 in saline ...

Faster and Durable: A Cell‐to‐System Validation of a Low‐Degradation Fast‐Charge Protocol for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

New discovery in geotechnics: calcium carbonate induced by plateau freshwater algae

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao
Since the research field of calcium carbonate induced by freshwater algae in the plateau is still in the early stage of exploration, this paper focuses on the biological mineralization of freshwater algae on the rock surface under the unique environment ...

Flexible Unusual Ternary‐Component Graded‐Modulus Dielectric Films with High‐Density Capacitive Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hierarchical PP–LSR107–BaTiO3 nanocomposite films are fabricated by one‐step extrusion and stretching for roll‐to‐roll manufacture, combining high energy storage and processing flexibility. LSR107 surrounds BaTiO3‐rich regions, locating amorphous PP, decreasing defects, and introducing deep traps that homogenize the electric field and suppress charge ...
