Unsaturated Coordination Oxygen in Zn─V─O Vacancy Clusters Enables Superb Zinc Storage Capability
Zn3(VO4)2 with Zn─V─O vacancy clusters was synthesized and innovatively applied as cathode material in aqueous Zn‐ion batteries. In‐situ XRD, HRTEM and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations unveil the double reaction mechanism of zinc ions. Adsorption of zinc ions on unsaturated coordination O and H+ on O in ‐VO4 contributes to the main capacity. It

New rock typing method for diagenetically modified carbonate reservoirs
The paper evaluates an efficiency of the existing rock typing methods for diagenetically modified carbonate reservoirs and proposes a new alternative rock typing index.Four existing rock typing techniques are applied to the target formation, subjected to

Bioinspired Morphology‐Decoupled Soft Gripper with Enhanced Bidirectional Grasping Capability
Inspired by biological predation, a novel gripper decouples cross‐modal grasping via dual morphological configurations. Synergistically integrating hybrid rigid and soft coupled fingers with a metamaterial palm, the system performs active compliant grasping for static objects and passive cage capture for dynamic targets.

Methane and carbon at equilibrium in source rocks
Methane in source rocks may not exist exclusively as free gas. It could exist in equilibrium with carbon and higher hydrocarbons: CH4 + C Hydrocarbon. Three lines of evidence support this possibility. 1) Shales ingest gas in amounts and selectivities consistent with gas-carbon equilibrium.

An electrochemically induced transformation of polar MgO(111) into Mg(OH)2(001) creates a proton‐conductive hydroxide layer during hydrogen evolution. Operando synchrotron XRD and DFT reveal a low‐barrier Grotthuss proton‐hopping mechanism, establishing a feasible strategy for designing oxide‐hydroxide electrocatalysts with enhanced proton transport ...

Secreted Nonstructural Protein 3 is a Pathogenic Determinant of Orbivirus
This study uncovers a conserved PIP2‐dependent secretory pathway of orbivirus NS3 that induces vascular leakage. Pharmacological disruption of PIP2‐NS3 interaction significantly reduces viral pathogenicity and provides protective efficacy in murine models, establishing PIP2‐mediated NS3 secretion as both a key virulence determinant and a promising ...

Carbonate Rock Physical Property Parameter Substitution Method Based on Rock Physics Models
The physical properties of carbonate rocks play a crucial role in the exploration and development of oil and gas. Carbonate rocks are characterized by multiple types of porosity, and the complex porosity types result in a highly discrete relationship ...
