Chemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 46, August 19, 2024.By coordinating the anticancer drug vorinostat to a Co(III) center, the antiproliferative activity of the bioactive molecule is diminished by two orders of magnitude. The low bioactivity could be related to the marginal uptake of the Co‐vorinostat complexes into cancer cells.

From Alkenes to Cyclic Carbonates with a Stable Iron‐Cross‐Bridged Cyclam Catalyst
ChemistrySelect, Volume 9, Issue 29, August 5, 2024.An iron(III) complex with a cross‐bridged cyclam ligand catalyzes the epoxidation of aromatic alkenes and the fixation of CO2 into cyclic carbonates. The one‐pot or stepwise transformation of styrene to styrene carbonate was also achieved (15–24 % GC yield).
