AbstractTo investigate the physicochemical, rheological and sensory characteristics of a new formulation proposed for low‐fat mayonnaise, nine mayonnaise samples containing different compositions of NFC (nanofibrillated cellulose), guar gum and CMC (carboxy methyl cellulose) were prepared and compared to commercial low‐fat mayonnaise (30% fat) as the ...

Osmotic-Pressure-Induced Nematic Ordering in Suspensions of Laponite and Carboxy Methyl Cellulose
Laponite is a synthetic clay that is known to form gels in aqueous suspensions at low concentrations (0.01 g/cm3). Although it is expected to form lyotropic liquid crystals, such phases usually do not form, as a consequence of laponite's tendency to form gels at concentrations below the threshold for liquid crystal formation.

The role of carboxy methyl cellulose in the flotation of a nickel sulphide transition ore
Minerals Engineering, 1992Abstract The flotation characteristics of a nickel sulphide transition ore are investigated by laboratory tests with regard to two aspects, the recovery of magnesia bearing gangue, and the depression of the nickel sulphides by gaugue slime coatings. The ore, from the Perseverance deposit of Western Mining Corporation at Leinster in Western Australia,

Abstract Graft copolymers of methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate and ethyl methacrylate on carboxy methyl cellulose (d.S 0.4–0.5) were obtained by the use of ceric ion in aqueous media at 35 °C. The extent of graft polymer formation was measured in terms of graft level, molecular weight of the grafted polymer chains, and frequency of grafting.
