This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

We report results of density functional theory (DFT) calculations of a metal-free dye, 5-(4-sulfophenylazo)salicylic acid disodium salt, known as Mordant Yellow 10 (MY-10), used as sensitizer for TiO2 dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

A self‐gelling PG@PAC (POD/Gel‐CDH@PA/CHX) powder is developed for infected burn care in austere settings. Upon contact with wound exudate, it instantly forms an adhesive hydrogel, providing simultaneous hemostasis, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity, reactive oxygen species scavenging, and immunomodulation. In a murine model of S.

PRODUCTION OF NANOCELLULOSE FROM NATIVE CELLULOSE – VARIOUS OPTIONS UTILIZING ULTRASOUND
In this study three different ways of applying ultrasound for the production of nanocellulose from native cellulose were explored. In the first option bleached hardwood kraft pulp was oxidized with the ultrasound (US) assisted TEMPO/NaBr/NaOCl-system (US-

The reactivity of carboxyl groups in chymotrypsinogen
Recent work from this laboratory reported the functional and structural consequences of the modification of carboxylates in chymotrypsinogen (ChTg), chymotrypsin (ChTi), trypsinogen (Tg) and trypsin (Ti) [l] with glycine ethyl ester (GEE) under the influence of l-ethyl ...

Sustainable Catalyst‐Free PLG Networks: Recyclability, Biodegradability, and Functional Performance
A catalyst‐additive free covalent adaptable network is developed from star‐shaped poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) cross‐linked with pyromellitic dianhydride, enabling internal carboxylic acid‐driven transesterification. The resulting biodegradable network exhibits mechanical robustness (Young's modulus ≈1.6 GPa), complete recyclability, rapid biodegradation

Reactivity of carboxyl groups in modified proteins [PDF]
The reactivities of carboxyl groups to carbodiimides in non‐reduced, S‐carboxymethyl, and S‐cyanoethyl proteins have been compared. When disulphide bonds are split, a decrease in reactivity was found, relatively minor in the S‐carboxymethyl derivative and almost complete loss of reactivities in the S‐cyanoethyl derivative.
