ABSTRACT Because magnetic permeability is an intrinsic property of materials, achieving the regulation of magnetic loss is one of the challenges for electromagnetic wave absorption materials. This paper focuses on the research idea of in situ growth of dispersed nanocrystalline FeSiB in an amorphous FeSiB matrix to regulate magnetic properties.

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

The formation of nonmetallic inclusions (NMIs) was investigated in this study, carrying out immersion tests for 30 min at a temperature of 1600°C with liquid high‐silicon electrical steel (Si ≈ 3 mass‐%) and different MgO–C refractories. Conventional MgO–C refractories were considered, as well as MgO–C refractories containing MgO–C recyclate and ...

CARBURIZATION MECHANISM OF HIGH CHROMIUM ALLOYS.
A major mode of corrosive degradation of alloys at high temperatures is carburization. In high chromium alloys, this type of attack is characterized by the diffusion of carbon into the alloy followed by the precipitation of chromium rich carbide phases ...
