Ursolic acid (UA) is a pentacyclic triterpene naturally occurring in many plant foods. In the present study, we investigated anti-cancer activity of UA in vivo in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) tumor. 15 × 10(6) EAC cells were implanted intraperitoneally (i.p., ascitic tumor) and subcutaneous (s.c., solid tumor) in Swiss albino mice.

Antitumor activity of sitagliptin and vitamin B12 on Ehrlich ascites carcinoma solid tumor in mice
Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, 2020AbstractThis study was carried out to investigate the potential effects of vitamin B12 and sitagliptin, and their possible synergistic effect with doxorubicin (DOX) on the Ehrlich solid tumor model. B12, sitagliptin, and their combination with DOX were administered to tumor‐bearing mice for 21 days.

Anti-tumor efficacy of glutaminase–copper–ATP combination in mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma
Anti-Cancer Drugs, 1994Glutaminase is a hematotoxic anti-tumor agent, and copper-ATP complex (Cu-ATP) is both anti-neoplastic and hematostimulatory. Combination chemotherapy with these two agents has been performed in mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma, to elucidate whether this could result in augmented tumor inhibition with reduced hematotoxicity.

Sub-cellular Transmissible Agent from Ehrlich Carcinoma Cells producing Ascites Tumours in Mice
Nature, 1962FOR the past several years, Ehrlich ascites tumour cells have been used in this Laboratory in work on the anti-tumour activity of fatty acids1–3. Serial transplantation of the stock tumour in Swiss mice was carried out at weekly intervals using an inoculum of 15 × 106 washed ascites cells, a number which effected a maximum rate of cell proliferation4 ...

[Laser-induced fluorescence diagnosis of tumors exemplified by solid Ehrlich carcinoma].
Archiv fur Geschwulstforschung, 1990The laser-induced fluorescence of hematoporphyrin derivative (HpD) sensitized experimental Ehrlich carcinoma on mice is investigated. The fluorescence is excited with the 364-nm argon laser line. The tumor fluorescence spectra are recorded in the red spectral region.

Utilization of pyrimidine precursors in tumors and liver of mice with ehrlich's ascites carcinoma
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1970Investigation of the incorporation of labeled pyrimidine precursors into free pyrimidine nucleotides, RNA, and DNA of the liver and tumor cells from mice with Ehrlich's ascites carcinoma showed that the incorporation of C14-uridine and C14-orotic acid into the liver of tumor-carrying animals is reduced compared with that into the liver of healthy ...

In this work, we investigated the activity of the key NAD(P)-dependent dehydrogenases associated with macrophage tumors in mice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma. It was shown that cancer grow is associated with the development of conditions in macrophages leading to a decrease in the substrate flow intensity in the tricarboxylic acid cycle, deceleration ...

Changes in the activities of NAD+- and NADP-dependent dehydrogenases of lymphocytes and tumor cells were studied in mice with Ehrlich ascites carcinoma, as well as changes in the concentrations of oxaloacetate, lactate, and NAD+ in the course of tumor growth.

[The effect of ascitic fluid on the growth of Ehrlich tumor and Lewis carcinoma].
Biulleten' eksperimental'noi biologii i meditsiny, 1993In the study of the effect of ascitic fluid and dialysate of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells (m.m. less than 15 kDa) on the growth of Ehrlich and Lewis carcinoma it was found that the ascitic fluid significantly decreased the size of Ehrlich tumor (by more than 50% on day 9-25 after the tumor cell inoculation).

Anti-tumor efficacy of Centchroman formulated as niosomes and gel implant was evaluated in Swiss albino mice bearing Ehrlich ascites carcinoma at 10 mg/kg body weight dose given subcutaneously. Median day of death, percentage increase in host life span and changes in body weight were studied.
