Metabolic effects of Lactuca sativa extract on experimentally induced Ehrlich ascites carcinoma [PDF]

open access: yesBenha Veterinary Medical Journal, 2018
The present study aimed to determine the effect of Lactuca sativa (lettuce) extract on alleviating Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) in female mice. EAC was induced by injection of 0.2 ml of (2.5×106 tumor cells with single cells suspension) in the medial ...

Antibacterial and antitumor activities of a lectin-rich preparation from Microgramma vacciniifolia rhizome

open access: yesCurrent Research in Pharmacology and Drug Discovery, 2022
The rhizome of Microgramma vacciniifolia contains a lectin (carbohydrate-binding protein) called MvRL. Studies demonstrated that a MvRL-rich fraction did not show in vivo genotoxicity and acute toxicity in mice. This study aimed to evaluate the MvRL-rich

Light Activated Induction of Cuproptosis in Resistant Cancer Cells Using Polymeric BODIPY Nanoparticles for Photoactivated Chemotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
This article presents a photo‐responsive nanoparticle platform that precisely triggers copper‐dependent cuproptotic cell death in (drug‐resistant) cancer cells. The system remains stable and inactive in the dark but releases cytotoxic species upon red‐light irradiation, achieving potent activity in drug‐resistant breast cancer cells.

Ehrlich tumor inhibition using doxorubicin containing liposomes

open access: yes, 2015
Ehrlich tumors were grown in female balb mice by subcutaneous injection of Ehrlich ascites carcinoma cells. Mice bearing Ehrlich tumor were injected with saline, DOX in solution or DOX encapsulated within liposomes prepared from DMPC/CHOL/DPPG/PEG-PE ...

Anti-neoplastic action of Cimetidine/Vitamin C on histamine and the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway in Ehrlich breast cancer

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The main focus of our study is to assess the anti-cancer activity of cimetidine and vitamin C via combating the tumor supportive role of mast cell mediators (histamine, VEGF, and TNF-α) within the tumor microenvironment and their effect on the protein ...

Understanding and Overcoming Antibody‐Drug Conjugate Resistance: Biological Mechanisms and Emerging Analytical Frameworks in Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 35, 24 June 2026.
Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) transform breast cancer therapy, yet resistance limits their durability. Emerging evidence reveals that ADC failure is not solely tumor‐intrinsic but shaped by dynamic tumor–microenvironment interactions that alter drug delivery, processing, and response.

Antitumor activity of Pogostemon benghalensis Linn. on ehrlich ascites carcinoma tumor bearing mice

open access: yesJournal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics, 2014
Pogostemon benghalensis has been used traditionally as anticancer in India. The present study was undertaken to investigate the antitumor activity of hydroethanolic extract of P. benghalensis (HEEPB) and aqueous extract of P. benghalensis (AEPB) on ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) tumor bearing mice. For antitumor effect, treatments with HEEPB and AEPB at
