Single‐Cell RNA Editing Identifies T Cell ADAR1 as a Key Regulator of Immune Exhaustion and Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA editing analysis identifies ADAR1 as a regulator of dysfunctional T cell states in colorectal cancer. Elevated ADAR1 activity promotes T cell exhaustion and impairs antitumor immunity partly through TGF‐β‐SMAD signaling, contributing to anti‐PD‐1 resistance and highlighting T cell ADAR1 as a potential therapeutic target and biomarker ...

A rare case of ovarian carcinosarcoma with squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Ovarian Research, 2019
Background Ovarian carcinosarcoma, which contains sarcomatous and carcinomatous components, is a very rare tumor. The carcinomatous component is often adenocarcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma is extremely rare.

Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

Validation of a Multivariate Serum Profile for Epithelial Ovarian Cancer Using a Prospective Multi-Site Collection

open access: yes, 2010
In previous studies we described the use of a retrospective collection of ovarian cancer and benign disease samples, in combination with a large set of multiplexed immunoassays and a multivariate pattern recognition algorithm, to develop an 11-biomarker ...

Plant Virus Immunotherapy for HPV‐Associated Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV) nanoparticles are safe and potent cancer immunotherapy candidates with strong immunomodulatory activity. CPMV activates innate immunity, which in turn drives adaptive immune responses and promotes durable, systemic antitumor effects.

Psychological distress and its correlates in ovarian cancer: a systematic review

open access: yes, 2008
Objective: Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, and consequently high levels of distress are often experienced. It is necessary to understand the factors associated with psychological distress in order to guide interventions to target ...

P53 marker expression in epithelial ovarian tumours in a centre in Nigeria – a descriptive study

open access: yesBMC Women's Health
Background p53 is a tumor suppressor gene. p53 expression in epithelial ovarian tumors (EOTs) is correlated with their biological behavior and predicts patient overall survival.

Duck Orbivirus and Egg Production: A Newly Identified Duck Orbivirus Is the Etiological Agent of Egg Production Decline in Chinese Breeder Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Field samples from breeder duck farms with egg‐production decline were subjected to viral detection, genome sequencing, and virus isolation. Experimental infection demonstrated that duck orbivirus (DORV) causes a significant and persistent reduction in egg production in breeder ducks.
