Ablation of premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) originating from the parahisian area is challenging. Late gadolinium-enhanced cardiac magnetic resonance (LGE-CMR) scar may influence procedural outcomes; the impact of cardiac scar on parahisian PVCs has not been described. The objective of this study was to examine the incidence and significance of ...

The Cardiac Arrhythmia Pilot Study (CAPS) was a randomized, double-blind trial of antiarrhythmic drugs (encainide, flecainide, moricizine, imipramine and placebo) in 502 patients with an ejection fraction greater than 0.20 and at least 10 ventricular premature complexes/hour, 6 to 60 days after acute myocardial infarction.

Frequent premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) have been associated with increased mortality. However, the optimal approach to the risk stratification of these patients is unclear. The purpose of this study was to prospectively assess the use of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and programmed ventricular stimulation to identify patients with ...

Background: The left ventricular epicardium is a common site of origin (SOO) among patients with idiopathic premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) undergoing catheter ablation procedures. Less is known about epicardial PVC ablation among patients with structural heart disease and cardiac scar.
