Mathematical study of a new coupled electro-thermo radiofrequency model of cardiac tissue [PDF]

This paper presents a nonlinear reaction-diffusion-fluid system that simulates radiofrequency ablation within cardiac tissue. The model conveys the dynamic evolution of temperature and electric potential in both the fluid and solid regions, along with the evolution of velocity within the solid region.

Cardiac Organoid Model Inspired Micro‐Robot Smart Patch to Treat Myocardial Infarction

The heart organoid model exhibits the acidic microenvironment characteristic of myocardial infarction, which emerges as a pivotal force propelling the movement of micro‐robots. These micro‐robots, administered through microneedles, can penetrate deep into the tissue, effectively delivering therapeutic payloads to facilitate heart repair.

Artificial Cardiac Conduction System: Simulating Heart Function for Advanced Computational Problem Solving [PDF]

This work proposes a novel bio-inspired metaheuristic called Artificial Cardiac Conduction System (ACCS) inspired by the human cardiac conduction system. The ACCS algorithm imitates the functional behaviour of the human heart that generates and sends signals to the heart muscle, initiating it to contract.

Formulation and Characterization of Novel Ionizable and Cationic Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of Splice‐Switching Oligonucleotides

Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) of unconventional composition and defined structures are investigated as small oligonucleotide carriers. A composition is identified that outperforms Onpattro in cargo delivery to HeLa cells. The structure of these LNPs resembles a micellar cubic phase not commonly associated with high‐performing LNPs.
