Goal-directed therapy in intraoperative fluid and hemodynamic management. [PDF]
Intraoperative fluid management is pivotal to the outcome and success of surgery, especially in high-risk procedures. Empirical formula and invasive static monitoring have been traditionally used to guide intraoperative fluid management and assess volume

Automated cardiac output measurements by ultrasound are inaccurate at high cardiac outputs [PDF]
AbstractObjectiveThe sonographic technique of automated cardiac output measurement (ACM) is a promising new method to measure cardiac output and could be of use in a high‐risk obstetric unit in the treatment of pre‐eclamptic patients. The aim was to determine the accuracy of the ACM method.DesignComparative study of the sonographic technique of ACM ...

Intersection Between Local Anesthetics and Cancer Biology: What Now? Where Are We Going?
Local anesthetics (LAs), widely used in anesthesia, may also play a role in cancer treatment by inhibiting tumor growth, reducing metastasis, and enhancing immune responses. They modulate key pathways like AKT/mTOR and RAS/ERK while affecting angiogenesis and tumor innervation and the immune response.

This study demonstrates a novel, additive manufacturing approach to produce complex, porous tungsten carbide structures using water‐based direct ink writing/robocasting. Leveraging a modified commercial printer and heat treatment, the process yields lightweight, electrically conductive 3D architectures capable of supporting a mechanical load.
