Dyssynchrony without dysfunction: Left bundle branch block does not acutely reduce cardiac output
Abstract figure legend Six electromechanical in silico heart models were simulated under healthy and pure acute left bundle branch block (LBBB) conditions. LBBB induced electrical dyssynchrony and increased left ventricular free wall strain, while the right and left ventricular ejection fraction remained relatively unchanged.

This prospective study demonstrates that regionalized high‐volume cardiac pacing programmes, supported by structured mentorship, are safe and efficient. Regional centres can successfully navigate the surgical learning curve, achieving safety outcomes non‐inferior to tertiary standards while eliminating geographical barriers for elderly patients ...

Prognostic Significance and Factors Associated With Worsening LV Dilatation in Heart Failure
Among patients with a hospitalization or ED visit for HF and at least two echocardiograms at least 6 months apart, failure to decrease LVESD by at least 3.13% or an increase in LVEDD of 1.33% were associated with the composite of all‐cause death, HF hospitalization, and ED visits for HF. Figure created using Canva and Servier Medical Art. ED, emergency

Nationwide data revealed age‐dependent differences in CIED implantation strategies. Epicardial systems remain essential in pediatric and congenital heart disease care, whereas alternative technologies are increasingly adopted in older adult populations, reflecting evolving lifespan‐related device strategies.

This statement of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS) provides comprehensive guidance for medical professionals and device manufacturers involved in RM. ABSTRACT Remote monitoring (RM) has been established as a standard tool for the management of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), offering advantages such as early event ...

Device‐detected atrial high‐rate episodes (AHREs) lasting ≥ 6 min identify a transient period of increased clinical risk in ICD patients. During the 60‐day peri‐AHRE period, risks of appropriate ICD shock, any appropriate ICD therapy, and cardiac hospitalization were significantly increased.

This 30‐year retrospective study of pediatric permanent pacing found acceptable long‐term device complication rates, with epicardial leads used predominantly. Pacing‐induced cardiomyopathy occurred only in children with congenital heart disease, highlighting the need for individualized pacing strategies in this cohort and long‐term echocardiographic ...

This case report highlights CRT‐D with Bachmann's bundle pacing (BBP) in a patient with severe heart failure and refractory atrial fibrillation. BBP preserved atrioventricular conduction without PR prolongation, maintained left ventricular–only pacing, and was associated with suppression of atrial fibrillation and improvement in left atrial contractile
