Acute Myocarditis: From Pathophysiology to Risk‐Stratified Management—A Clinical Review

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, Volume 56, Issue 8, August 2026.
Stepwise approach to patients with suspected acute myocarditis, integrating the 2024 American College of Cardiology (ACC) four‐stage classification (Stages A–D) and the 2025 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) inflammatory myopericardial syndrome (IMPS) framework. Step 1 (Initial Assessment): clinical presentation, first‐line investigations (ECG, high‐

Invasive Assessment of Right Ventricular Dysfunction Predicts Periprocedural Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Unplanned Ventricular Tachycardia Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1699-1708, August 2026.
Displays bar graphs showing outcome rates stratified by clinical and hemodynamic variables. Asterisks (*) denote statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05). “NS” indicates non‐significant comparisons. Percentages are shown above each bar. The top panel corresponds to acute kidney injury (blue bars), and the bottom panel corresponds to acute ...

Impacts of Hemodynamic Support on Ventricular Arrhythmia Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1711-1722, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Data on the efficacy of hemodynamic support (HS) for protecting ventricular arrhythmia (VA) ablation in high‐risk heart failure (HF) patients with an impaired left ventricular function and its impact on mortality is limited. Objectives This study aimed to assess procedural efficacy, related complications, VA‐free survival, and ...

Electrophysiologic Assessment of the Successful Left Bundle Branch Pacing Using the Standardized Criteria

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1746-1754, August 2026.
The left bundle branch anatomy graphic was created using AI‐assisted medical illustration. ABSTRACT Introduction Left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) is an emerging physiological pacing method that preserves ventricular synchrony. Achieving true LBB capture remains challenging, and the reported success rates vary considerably due to nonuniform ...

Comparison of Spatio‐Temporal Dispersion Electrogram Ablation and Low Voltage Zone Ablation in Patients With Persistent Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1837-1845, August 2026.
This study compared STDE‐guided versus LVZ‐guided ablation beyond PVI in 107 persistent AF patients. At 24 months, the AF‐free survival rate was significantly higher in the STDE group (76.3% vs. 58.4%, p=0.027). STDE ablation independently reduced recurrence risk (HR: 0.29, p=0.004), providing superior clinical efficacy over LVZ ablation.

Modified Anatomical Ablation Strategy for Mitral Isthmus

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 1159-1167, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Durable mitral isthmus (MI) block remains challenging in persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Ethanol infusion into the vein of Marshall (EI‐VOM) enhances efficacy, but the minimal endocardial ablation extent post‐EI‐VOM is undefined.

Morphological changes in the arterial pressure waveform following hemodynamic therapies in critical care: A clinical proof‐of‐concept study in older adults

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
In 132 cardiac surgery patients, fluid bolus, norepinephrine, and dobutamine each produced a distinct, recognizable pattern in arterial waveform morphology (systolic area/downstroke time, diastolic area/time, augmented pressure), suggesting arterial waveform analysis is a promising tool for bedside hemodynamic decision support.

Successful Conservative Management of Right Ventricular Perforation Caused by Temporary Pacemaker Placement during Complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: A Case Report

open access: yesActa Medica Indonesiana
Cardiac tamponade is a critical condition that can result from complications during invasive cardiac procedures. This case report describes a 67-year-old male who developed right ventricular perforation leading to cardiac tamponade following elective ...
