ABSTRACT Background Clinical data about pulsed field ablation (PFA) under deep sedation among patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) are limited, while the optimal periprocedural monitoring is not established. We report our experience in PFA among patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and OSA, using a continuous non‐invasive respiratory and ...

Cardiac tamponade: contrast reflux as an indicator of cardiac chamber equalization
Background Traumatic hemopericardium remains a rare entity; it does however commonly cause cardiac tamponade which remains a major cause of death in traumatic blunt cardiac injury. Objectives We present a case of blunt chest trauma complicated by cardiac

Abstract Central artery stiffening increases the haemodynamic pulsations transmitted downstream towards target organs, including the brain. While recent evidence suggests that long duration spaceflight is associated with reduced common carotid artery (CCA) distensibility, cerebrovascular pulsatility has not been extensively characterized in astronauts.

This study reports a 25.2% incidence of acute pericardial effusion following vein of Marshall ethanol infusion for persistent atrial fibrillation. The extent of the resulting low‐voltage area was identified as an independent predictor of pericardial effusion, reflecting the magnitude of chemical injury.
