A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Investigation into factors affecting perceptual stability of the world during smooth pursuit eye movements

open access: yes, 2012
During pursuit eye movement, a stationary background projected on the retina shifts in the direction opposite to that of the eye movement. This complicates the perception of objects because during an eye movement the retinal and head-centric motions ...

The cardinal characteristics of the ideal generated by the F𝜎 measure zero subsets of the reals (Large Cardinals and the Continuum)

open access: yesThe cardinal characteristics of the ideal generated by the F𝜎 measure zero subsets of the reals (Large Cardinals and the Continuum)
Let 𝓔 be the ideal generated by the F𝜎 measure zero subsets of the reals. The purpose of this survey paper is to study the cardinal characteristics (the additivity, covering number, uniformity, and cofinality) of 𝓔.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Risk Prediction Models for Recurrence After Curative Treatment of Early‐Stage or Locally Advanced Lung Cancer: A Systematic Review

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

CONVERGENCE OF MEASURES ON BOOLEAN ALGEBRAS AND CARDINAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONTINUUM (Set Theory and Infinity)

open access: yesCONVERGENCE OF MEASURES ON BOOLEAN ALGEBRAS AND CARDINAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONTINUUM (Set Theory and Infinity)
This is a concise survey of the author's results concerning relations between cardinal chracteristics of the continuum and convergence of sequences of finitely additive mesures on Boolean algebras.
