Postal reply card processing

Proceedings. Fourteenth International Conference on Pattern Recognition (Cat. No.98EX170), 2002
A reply card processing (RCP) service was developed at CEDAR to demonstrate how the United States Postal Service could deliver business and courtesy reply cards to clients electronically instead of physically. The electronic delivery of the more than one billion cards that the USPS processes in a year was to expedite the order fulfilment cycle for ...

Stream Processing Health Card Application

Journal of Medical Systems, 2011
In this paper, we propose a data stream management system embedded to a smart card for handling and storing user specific summaries of streaming data coming from medical sensor measurements and/or other medical measurements. The data stream management system that we propose for a health card can handle the stream data rates of commonly known medical ...

Simulation of carding condensing process

Textile Research Journal, 2021
A simulation describing the fiber movement during the condensation was conducted, and the effect of the condensation in the carding machine was studied. The simulation results showed that the condensation has the blending and the evening effect on the condensed sliver, which can be explained by the fiber rearrangement.

13—The Effect of the Density of Card Clothing on the Carding Process

Journal of the Textile Institute Transactions, 1961
This paper concerns an investigation into the amount of carding performed by cylinders and their associated rollers clothed with wires ranging from diamond point (40/4/24) to 140/14/35. The materials used for the investigation consisted of (i) 70s lambs’ wool, (ii) 50s carpet wool, (iii) pulled velour shoddy and (iv) 3-den. 2½-in.

Materials and Processes for Memory Cards

Pan Pacific Symposium, 2006
ABSTRACT As digital memory media grow in popularity and variety, fabrication of the NAND memory cards is turning into high volume, high throughput, and highly automated process. The card design and complexity also become more sophisticated with higher packaging density and smaller card sizes such as MMCmicro and microSD.

29—CARDING AS A MARKOVIAN PROCESS

Journal of the Textile Institute Transactions, 1962
The study of the progress of fibres through a card has led to the view that the working of this machine corresponds to the general class of stochastic processes to which the tiame of Markovian has been given. The fibres pass through ‘chains’ of states which are called ‘absorbing’, and, simply by applying the known theoretical properties in the form of ...

A Java Card Virtual Machine Design Based on Off-card/On-card Co-design Pre-processing

2018
The design of Java Card Virtual Machine (JCVM) is the critical part in Java Card development. One of the evaluation standards on Java card is the fast response rate. Embedded a high performance JCVM on the memory constrained devices such as smart card is a great challenge.
