2017This paper discusses cargoes in maritime transport, the way they are stored, handled and the way they can be damaged during transport. It includes: containerized cargo, refrigerated cargoes, grain cargo and crude oil. Each type of cargo has unique characteristics which dictate the design of storage spaces and cargo handling equipment to be used.
