AbstractWe make moving caricatures from videos on human faces. Using training images, we created a 3D model of an average face. This allows us to transform the image in each frame of an input video, so that it is seen from the front. Then we apply 2D exaggeration rules to caricature each face.

CAST: Learning Both Geometric and Texture Style Transfers for Effective Caricature Generation
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2022Given a photo of a subject, ability to generate a caricature image that captures distinct characteristics of the subject but with certain exaggeration of their prominent features is of fundamental importance to image processing and facial recognition ...

CariPainter: Sketch Guided Interactive Caricature Generation
ACM Multimedia, 2022In this paper, we propose CariPainter, the first interactive caricature generating and editing method. The main challenge of caricature generation lies in the fact that it not only exaggerates the facial geometry but also refreshes the facial texture. We

Generation of 3D Caricature by Fusing Caricature Images
2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2006Caricatures are exaggerated, cartoon-like portraits that try to capture the essence of the subject with a bit of humor or sarcasm. In this paper, we extend the automatic caricature generation algorithm developed previously in two important aspects: 1) we improve the facial feature detection procedure by incorporating active appearance models, and 2) we

Unsupervised Domain Attention Adaptation Network for Caricature Attribute Recognition
European Conference on Computer Vision, 2020Caricature attributes provide distinctive facial features to help research in Psychology and Neuroscience. However, unlike the facial photo attribute datasets that have a quantity of annotated images, the annotations of caricature attributes are rare. To
