Acute stroke secondary to internal carotid artery pseudoaneurysm: MRI findingsand treatment with endovascularcoiling [PDF]
Internal carotid artery pseudoaneurysms are uncommon. We report a young man with history of trivialtrauma who presented with middle cerebral artery stroke.Head CT scan revealed a right parapharyngeal mass.

Natriuretic peptide receptor-C is up-regulated in the intima of advanced carotid artery atherosclerosis [PDF]
OBJECTIVE: Natriuretic peptide receptor-C (NPR-C/NPR-3) is a cell surface protein involved in vascular remodelling that is up-regulated in atherosclerosis. NPR-C expression has not been well characterized in human carotid artery occlusive lesions.

This study successfully establishes adamantinomatous craniopharyngioma (ACP) patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) that preserve the histopathological and genetic features of the original tumors. Through drug sensitivity assays and subsequent mechanistic analyses, the study demonstrates that Ceritinib exerts its inhibitory effects on ACP PDO growth by ...

Deep hypothermic total circulatory arrest for internal carotid artery aneurysm extending into the cranium: experience from a developing country [PDF]
Cardiopulmonary bypass is commonplace for acquired and congenital cardiac procedures. It has also stretched to facilitate complicated non-cardiac operations.

Agenesis of the internal carotid artery.
Agenesis of the internal carotid artery is a rare anomaly. It is usually asymptomatic because of the presence of anastomoses, but it can be associated with complications, especially when there is evidence of other anatomical abnormalities or severe atherosclerotic disease.

Upon ischemia/reperfusion‐induced iron overload condition, neurons and astrocytes exhibit similar oxidative stress changes but opposite alterations in endogenous antioxidant defense mechanisms, leading to divergent ferroptotic outcomes. The iron deposition and neuronal loss are increased within the perilesional cortex of stroke patients ...

This study reveals that the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM56 exacerbates neuronal ferroptosis and brain damage by mediating K48‐linked ubiquitination and degradation of KLF4, leading to suppression of the xCT/GSH/GPX4 axis. Targeting TRIM56 alleviates cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury in vivo and in vitro, highlighting its therapeutic potential.
