Simultaneous Cerebral Blood Flow and Cerebrovascular Reactivity Obtained From Novel Multi‐Band Multi‐Echo Pseudo‐Continuous Arterial Spin Labeling (M2‐PCASL) Sequence: A Test–Retest Reliability Study

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 37-48, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose We aim to assess the reliability of cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) obtained simultaneously from a novel multi‐band pseudo‐continuous arterial spin labeling (M2‐PCASL) sequence and hypercapnic gas challenge, to examine factors influencing CBF variability, and to evaluate the impact of carbon dioxide (CO2)

Application of conventional ultrasound‐based carotid grading system in assessing disease activity and monitoring progression in Takayasu arteritis

open access: yesClinical Physiology and Functional Imaging, Volume 46, Issue 4, July 2026.
Abstract Objective This study aimed to evaluate and validate the utility of a conventional ultrasound‐based carotid grading system in assessing disease activity in Takayasu arteritis (TA) with carotid artery involvement, distinguishing between active and inactive patients, and monitoring therapeutic response.

Prediction Models for Clinical Outcome After a Carotid Revascularization Procedure: An External Validation Study

open access: yes, 2018
Background and Purpose: Prediction models may help physicians to stratify patients with high and low risk for periprocedural complications or long-term stroke risk after carotid artery stenting or carotid endarterectomy.

Hot‐Film and Calorimetric Methods With Transient Heating for Measurement of High Biofluid Flow Rate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 50, 22 June 2026.
Accurate measurement of biofluid flow rate is vital for clinical diagnostics. We propose a transient heating strategy using short thermal pulses and peak temperature tracking to enhance the flow sensitivity of the hot‐Film and calorimetric methods. Simulations show how optimal heating time maximizes sensitivity across flow rates.

A multimodal imaging study on spatial pattern of cerebral perfusion change caused by symptomatic unilateral carotid artery stenosis

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2015
Objective To investigate the spatial pattern of cerebral perfusion decrease resulting from symptomatic unilateral carotid artery stenosis and to assess the relationship between degrees of stenosis and cerebral blood flow (CBF).  Methods CT angiography

A Nano‐Interception Strategy for Chronic Heart Failure: Prussian Blue Nanoparticles Disrupt Fibroblast‐Immune Communication via CCL2 Sequestration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 31, 2 June 2026.
A nano‐interception strategy disrupts pathogenic fibroblast–macrophage crosstalk in chronic heart failure. Scalable Prussian blue nanoparticles selectively sequester CCL2 via ultrahigh‐affinity binding, preventing CCR2+ macrophage recruitment and breaking a key fibro‐inflammatory circuit. This approach demonstrates robust efficacy in murine and porcine

Mechanically Robust Biodegradable Stents With Theragenerative Vascular Responses via Combined 3D Printing and Janus Nanoengineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 34, 19 June 2026.
This work introduces a theragenerative 3D‐printed biodegradable stent with Janus nanoarchitecture for spatially controlled vascular healing. A luminal tantalum ion–implanted surface accelerates endothelialization and hemocompatibility, while an abluminal sirolimus/poly‐L‐lactic acid–tantalum layer provides sustained drug release and suppresses smooth ...

Vascular Mechanisms in the Etiology of Hemifacial Microsomia: A Systematic Review of Epidemiological, Clinical, and Genetic Evidence

open access: yesBirth Defects Research, Volume 118, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hemifacial microsomia (HFM) is a congenital craniofacial malformation characterized by unilateral hypoplasia of structures derived from the first and second pharyngeal arches. Although the phenotype is well described, the underlying etiology remains incompletely understood.
