GNSS-receivers Carrier Phase Calibration
2020 1st International Conference Problems of Informatics, Electronics, and Radio Engineering (PIERE), 2020GNSS-receivers carrier phase measurements are necessary in Precise Point Positioning (PPP) and Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technologies. At present, carrier phase measurements are not metrologically traceable to State primary standards. The article discusses GNSS-receivers carrier phase calibration using signal simulators of global navigation satellite ...

Multiplier-free Carrier Phase Estimation for Low Complexity Carrier Frequency and Phase Recovery
National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, 2012Carrier phase estimation for QPSK modulation is demonstrated using only real-valued additions without any multiplication or angle computation. Based on simulation and offline data, the same performance as the widely considered 4th-power algorithm is reached.

Carrier phase jitter sensitivity for single-carrier and multi-carrier QAM systems
IEEE Second Symposium on Communications and Vehicular Technology in the Benelux, 2002Investigates how the carrier phase jitter of a phase-locked oscillator for IF-to-baseband conversion affects the performance of single-carrier QAM (SC-QAM) and multi-carrier QAM (MC-QAM). This phase jitter reduces the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the input of the decision device, and therefore gives rise to an increase of the bit error rate.

Carrier-Envelope Phase Stabilization
2013After introducing some fundamental concepts and definitions for carrier-envelope stabilization schemes and frequency combs, measurement schemes for the carrier-envelope phase of oscillators and amplified systems are discussed. In particular, care is taken to point out typical problems in the experimental implementation of such schemes and to indicate ...

Phase comparison carrier relaying
Electrical Engineering, 1953THE ADDITION OF a third terminal or a transformer bank to a 2-terminal line section has economic advantages, but presents problems when using phase comparison carrier relaying on such a line. In this type of relaying, the phase angles of the currents at the line terminals are compared over a carrier channel.

Processing of GLONASS carrier phase observations differs from that of GPS. These differences are briefly reviewed. Presently GLONASS does not contain selective availability (SA). Simply graphing between-satellite differences reveals parts of SA that is implemented on GPS satellite signals.

RF carrier phase-burst transmitter
2013 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (MTT), 2013The potential high efficiency of RF carrier-burst transmitters has drawn the increasing attention of various researchers. This architecture uses an on-off mode of a constant-amplitude phase modulated carrier, according to the selected envelope-to-duty-cycle conversion (PWM or sigma-delta), requiring an implementation with two transistors, often in ...

Soft carrier phase recovery for continuous phase modulations
2010 European Wireless Conference (EW), 2010In this paper a general soft-based synchronization technique for continuous phase modulations (CPM) is presented. In particular two soft carrier phase estimation algorithms are derived, being the phase the parameter that shows the lower implementation complexity.

Carrier-envelope phase-stable spatiotemporal light bullets
Optics Letters, 2015We present an extensive experimental investigation of the self-focusing and filamentation of intense 90 fs, 1.8 μm, carrier-envelope phase-stable laser pulses in fused silica in the anomalous group velocity dispersion region. Spectral measurements in a wedge-shaped sample uncover dynamics of spectral broadening, which captures the evolution of third ...

Continuous time transfer using GPS carrier phase
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2002The Astronomical Institute of the University of Berne is hosting one of the Analysis Centers (AC) of the International GPS Service (IGS). A network of a few GPS stations in Europe and North America is routinely analyzed for time transfer purposes, using the carrier phase observations. This work is done in the framework of a joint project with the Swiss
