Challenges and Innovations in CMOS-Based 300-GHz Transceivers for High-Speed Wireless Communication

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Solid-State Circuits Society
The IEEE 802.15.3d standard, issued in October 2017, defined a high-data-rate wireless physical layer using the 252–325–GHz frequency band, also known as the 300-GHz band, enabling data rates up to 100 Gb/s.

Feedforward Carrier Recovery for Coherent Optical Communications [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Lightwave Technology, 2007
We study a carrier-synchronization scheme for coherent optical communications that uses a feedforward architecture that can be implemented in digital hardware without a phase-locked loop. We derive the equations for maximum a posteriori joint detection of the transmitted symbols and the carrier phase.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Influence of combined hydrolyzed collagen and maltodextrin as carrier agents in spray drying of cocona pulp

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Food Technology, 2020
This work aimed to evaluate the effect of carrier agents containing maltodextrin and protein, represented by hydrolyzed collagen on the spray drying process of cocona (Solanum sessiliflorum Dunal), and on the properties of the resulting powders.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Development and Evaluation of Nipa (Nypa Fruticans) Vinegar Powder

open access: yesJPAIR, 2018
Due to emerging technologies, the improvization of products is a new trend. Spray drying is a new technology that transforms a product in liquid phase into a dry particulate powder. This study investigated the possibility of developing powder out of nipa

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
