Homodyne OFDM with optical injection locking for carrier recovery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Homodyne detection provides the simplest digital signal processing (DSP) solution to optical coherent detection and minimizes the receiver bandwidth requirements.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Carrier recovery based on iterative demodulation and threshold detection

open access: yes, 2020
LAUREA MAGISTRALECarrier recovery è un passaggio essenziale nei sistemi di comunicazione coerenti, ma la robustezza e le prestazioni di alcuni metodi sono correlate alla loro complessità.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Transient flow responses of carbon nanotubes suspensions after a shear reversal

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2015
In this study, we have investigated the fluidity responses after a shear flow reversal of carbon nanotube (CNT) suspensions with Newtonian carrier liquids in stress-sweep tests.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Carrier Recovery in burst-mode 16-QAM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Wireless communication systems such as multipoint communication systems (MCS) are becoming attractive as cost-effective means for providing network access in sparsely populated, rugged, or developing areas of the world.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Optical injection locking based carrier recovery for coherent signal reception

open access: yes, 2015
We use optical injection locking for carrier recovery in carrier-assisted coherent OFDM. A robust narrow-bandwidth locking with slow phase lock loop is discussed.
