Carroll Symmetry, Dark Energy and Inflation
Carroll symmetry arises from Poincaré symmetry upon taking the limit of vanishing speed of light. We determine the constraints on the energy-momentum tensor implied by Carroll symmetry and show that for energy-momentum tensors of perfect fluid form ...

Using carefully chosen projections, we consider different Carroll limits of relativistic Dirac fermions in any spacetime dimensions. These limits define Carroll fermions of two types: electric and magnetic.

Carroll–Schrödinger equation as the ultra-relativistic limit of the tachyon equation
The Poincaré symmetry can be contracted in two ways to yield the Galilei symmetry and the Carroll symmetry. The well-known Schrödinger equation exhibits the Galilei symmetry and is a fundamental equation in Galilean quantum mechanics.

Using effective field theory methods, we derive the Carrollian analog of the geodesic action. We find that it contains both “electric” and “magnetic” contributions that are in general coupled to each other.

Similar to streptavidin, the binding of biotin by avidin does not appear to be cooperative in the traditional sense of altered binding strength, though it appears to be cooperative in terms of ligand induced structural communication across subunits in ...

Despite the absence of a lightcone structure, some solutions of Carroll gravity show black hole-like behaviour. We define Carroll black holes as solutions of Carroll gravity that exhibit Carroll thermal properties and have a Carroll extremal surface ...

Dynamics of Carroll particles [PDF]
We investigate particles whose dynamics is invariant under the Carroll group. Although a single free such Carroll particle has no non-trivial dynamics (`the Carroll particle does not move') we show that there exists non-trivial dynamics for a set of interacting Carroll particles. Furthermore, we gauge the Carroll algebra and couple the Carroll particle

Coset methods are used to determine the action of a co-dimension one brane (domain wall) embedded in (d + 1)-dimensional AdS space in the Carroll limit in which the speed of light goes to zero. The action is invariant under the non-linearly realized symmetries of the AdS-Carroll spacetime.
