In the present paper we develop the algebraic Bethe ansatz approach to the case of non-skew-symmetric gl(2)⊗gl(2)-valued Cartan-non-invariant classical r-matrices with spectral parameters. We consider the two families of these r-matrices, namely, the two

Red Blood Cell Membrane Mechanics Using Discrete Exterior Calculus (DEC) and Optimization. [PDF]
We present a novel DEC approach for calculating RBC shapes applicable to other cell types and membrane problems. We derive an energy minimization equation that can be solved semi‐implicitly, and a Lie derivative method to control node spacing. This novel work should aid computational modeling in many biological situations.

Polyadic Braid Operators and Higher Braiding Gates
A new kind of quantum gates, higher braiding gates, as matrix solutions of the polyadic braid equations (different from the generalized Yang–Baxter equations) is introduced. Such gates lead to another special multiqubit entanglement that can speed up key

Conics from the Cartan Decomposition of SO(2,1)
The aim of this paper is to introduce and study the class of conics provided by the symmetric matrices of the Cartan decomposition of the Lie group SO(2,1).

Wargaming with Quadratic Forms and Brauer Configuration Algebras
Recently, Postnikov introduced Bert Kostant’s game to build the maximal positive root associated with the quadratic form of a simple graph. This result, and some other games based on Cartan matrices, give a new version of Gabriel’s theorem regarding ...

Geometrizing non-relativistic bilinear deformations
We define three fundamental solvable bilinear deformations for any massive non-relativistic 2d quantum field theory (QFT). They include the T T ¯ $$ \mathrm{T}\overline{\mathrm{T}} $$ deformation and the recently introduced hard rod deformation.

Gaudin-type models, non-skew-symmetric classical r-matrices and nested Bethe ansatz
We consider quantum integrable systems associated with the Lie algebra gl(n) and Cartan-invariant non-dynamical non-skew-symmetric classical r-matrices.

CARTAN CALCULUS VIA PAULI MATRICES [PDF]
In this paper we will provide a new operatorial counterpart of the path-integral formalism of classical mechanics developed in recent years. We call it new because the Jacobi fields and forms will be realized via finite dimensional matrices. As a byproduct of this we will prove that all the operations of the Cartan calculus, such as the exterior ...
