Handing-over motion model based on analyses of hand motions and voice utterances of humans
In this paper, we propose a hand-over motion model based on analyses of hand motions and voice utterances of humans. This model generates a motion in which a robot hands over an object to a human accompanied by a voice greeting.

Asymmetry of the Ferroelectric Phase Transition in BaTiO3
Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.

Research of the Transfer Method of Four-dimensional Coordinate to Three-dimensional Coordinate
The coordinate measure machine(CMM) with rotary table is often use in the field of precision measurement.Because of the error evaluation requires that all measured point must be expressed in the same coordinate system, but the workpiece coordinate system ...

Quadrilateral folded plate structure elements of reduced Trefftz type
General strategy for developing finite elements of general geometric shape explained on quadrilateral folded plate structure element ensuring invariance properties is presented in this paper. The basic idea of this strategy consists in using the natural

A low‐cost, maskless visible light photopatterning system has been developed by combining a consumer‐grade projector with a single Fresnel lens, generating the Fresnel Lens Integrated Projector (FLIP) system. FLIP enables flexible photopatterning of solid and gel films with features down to 30 µm and 135 µm, respectively.

This review outlines how understanding bone's biology, hierarchical architecture, and mechanical anisotropy informs the design of lattice structures that replicate bone morphology and mechanical behavior. Additive manufacturing enables the fabrication of orthopedic implants that incorporate such structures using a range of engineering materials ...

Bound States in the Continuum in Metasurface Absorbers: A Comparison with Metasurfaces
Bound states in the continuum (BICs) offer a powerful mechanism for enhancing light–matter interactions. This work systematically investigates the radiation characteristics of BICs under both transmission and reflection configurations using multipolar analysis.

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...
