Free‐Breathing 3D Whole Heart and Aorta Cine MRI Without Contrast Agent—Comparison to Clinical Standard

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The demand for cardiac MRI is increasing with the growing burden of cardiovascular disease. However, conventional protocols require sequential acquisitions for multi‐breath‐hold 2D cine and 3D MR angiography (MRA), which is time‐consuming.

Feature study of body-fitted Cartesian grids used in casting numerical simulation [PDF]

open access: yesChina Foundry, 2013
A type of mesh called a body-fitted Cartesian mesh, very different from the traditional structured body-fitted mesh, is established. At first, the right parallelepiped mesh is generated, then, a feature analysis is done on the cross sections. These cross

Conversion of contours to cartesian grids

open access: yes, 2007
A robust and efficient method of calculating a cartesian grid of heights or roughnesses from contour line maps is developed. The purpose of the grids is to serve as input for atmospheric flow solvers such as WAsP Engineering or EllipSys3D. The method builds on Delaunay triangulation constrained to include all contour segments in the triangulation.

Cartesian Grid Generator (2-D)

open access: yes, 1999
A Cartesian Grid generator (2-D) has been developed in FORTRAN to create grids around arbitrary 2-D - shapes. The code has been based on a capturing technique in which the interruptions of a moving point along specified geometry with the cartesian mesh ...

Multiphase Dynamics in Arbitrary Geometries on Fixed Cartesian Grids

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 1997
A mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian algorithm for interface tracking is applied to compute flows with solid-fluid and fluid-fluid interfaces. The method is capable of handling fluid flows in the presence of both irregularly shaped solid boundaries and moving boundaries on a fixed Cartesian grid. The field equations are solved on the underlying fixed grid using

A numerical study of 2D integrated RBFNs incorporating Cartesian grids for solving 2D elliptic differential problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This article reports a numerical discretization scheme, based on two-dimensional integrated radial-basis-function networks (2D-IRBFNs) and rectangular grids, for solving second-order elliptic partial differential equations defined on 2D nonrectangular ...

A Fast Particle-Locating Method for the Arbitrary Polyhedral Mesh

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2019
A fast particle-locating method is proposed for the hybrid Euler−Lagrangian models on the arbitrary polyhedral mesh, which is of essential importance to improve the computational efficiency by searching the host cells for the tracked particles very
