Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

Middle ages and modernity: Philosophy, science and spirituality of three women who left their mark

open access: yesGender
This paper seeks to recover the contributions of three women from different eras, often overlooked by the intellectual canon: Rosvita of Gandersheim, Hildegard of Bingen, and Elisabeth of Bohemia.

« Blasphème » ou « imagination sans fondement » ? La bataille des griefs théologiques entre Descartes et Malebranche [PDF]

open access: yesMeta: Research in Hermeneutics, Phenomenology and Practical Philosophy, 2013
The goal of this article is to analyze a metaphysical and theological argument between Descartes and Nicolas Malebranche about the relationship between the eternal truths and God.

If fibromyalgia did not exist, we should have invented it. A short history of a controversial syndrome

open access: yesReumatismo, 2012
Fibromyalgia is a recent disease, and some physicians remain doubtful about its reality. The history of fibromyalgia is a story of controversies: the fight between subjectivity and cartesianism, and between old mind and body concepts.

Traction Force Microscopy for Viscoelastic Substrates: A Semi‐Analytical Method

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A semi‐analytical viscoelastic traction force microscopy framework is introduced for quantifying time‐resolved cell tractions on flat finite‐thickness substrates. The method generalizes elastic traction force microscopy to Generalized Maxwell materials, identifies when elastic approximations remain valid and, when they do not, shows that inferred ...

Synergistic Spin‐Polarization and Single‐Atom Engineering in Magnetic Heterojunctions for Efficient Solar Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐throughput screening led to the identification of 67 Z‐scheme heterojunctions (comprising 2D magnetic transition metal halides and non‐magnetic transition metal chalcogenides). For CrI3/MoTe2 and CrI3/WTe2, electronic structure analysis demonstrated that synergistic crystallographic point group and built‐in electric field effects generate a ...

Interlayer‐Sliding‐Enabled Multiferroicity and Giant Switchable Anomalous Hall Conductivity in RuO2Zn2F2 Bilayer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interlayer sliding in the RuO2Zn2F2 bilayer induces ferroelectricity and enables reversible valley polarization switching. The electric dipole and valley‐resolved band edges are intimately coupled, revealing sliding ferroelectricity as a powerful mechanism for electrical control of valley degrees of freedom in 2D materials.
