Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

DELP Treatment on Vision and Retinal Microcirculation in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke: Report of Five Cases and Literature Review

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background The delipid extracorporeal lipoprotein filter from plasma (DELP) treatment can effectively reduce blood lipid, increase blood flow, and improve neurological deficits in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). However, its effect on vision and retinal microcirculation in stroke patients has never been reported.

Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

A Novel Approach to Evaluate the Benefits of Casing Treatment in Axial Compressors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Rotating Machinery, 2012
Passive control devices based on casing treatments have already shown their capability to improve the flow stability in axial compressors. However, their optimization remains complex due to a partial understanding of the related physical mechanisms.

Primordia initiation of mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) strains on axenic casing materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) has a requirement for a ‘‘casing layer’’ that has specific physical, chemical and microbiological properties which stimulate and promote the initiation of primordia.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Effect of casing treatment of overall performance of axial-flow transonic fan stage with pressure ratio of 1.75 and tip solidity of 1.5 [PDF]

open access: yes
The effect of a number of casing treatments on the overall performance of a 1.75-pressure-ratio, 423-m/sec-tip-speed fan stage was evaluated. The skewed slot configuration with short-open slots over the midportion of the rotor had a stall margin of 23.5 ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
