Cassini Ovals in Harmonic Motion Orbits
The title problem is addressed where the authors consider the planar motion of an harmonic oscillator where the vibration point moves on ellipses known as ``Cassini ovals''. (A Cassini oval is the locus of all points whose distances from two fixed points have a constant product.) The form of these ovals depend solely on the initial velocities.

Elastic buckling of Cassini ovaloidal shells under external pressure - theoretical study
The paper is devoted to shells of revolution with positive and negative Gaussian curvature. The meridian of shells is a plane curve in the Cassini oval form.

Numerical laminar forced convection modelling in a ceramic and concrete solar collector with non-circular duct [PDF]
The paper presents simulations of laminar forced convection in non-circular piping of flat solar collectors made of ceramics or concrete, which are characterized by a low thermal conduction coefficient.

Modern science operates with various methods, among which modeling is one of the most popular. The development of information technology allows the study of analogues (models) with the most significant characteristics of the real object.

Open and partially closed models of the solar wind interaction with outer planet magnetospheres: the case of Saturn [PDF]
A wide variety of interactions take place between the magnetized solar wind plasma outflow from the Sun and celestial bodies within the solar system.

Optimization of Saturn paraboloid magnetospheric field model parameters using Cassini equatorial magnetic field data [PDF]
The paraboloid model of Saturn's magnetosphere describes the magnetic field as being due to the sum of contributions from the internal field of the planet, the ring current, and the tail current, all contained by surface currents inside a magnetopause

Harmonic motion and Cassini ovals
We consider a two-dimensional free harmonic oscillator where the initial position is fixed and the initial velocity can change direction. All possible orbits are ellipses and their enveloping curve is an ellipse too. We show that the locus of the foci of all elliptical orbits is a Cassini oval.
