Study of the influence of deformation temperature on the mechanical behaviour and fracturing behaviour of the cast TNM-B1 alloy

open access: yesFrontier Materials & Technologies
The paper covers the study of β-solidifying TiAl-based alloys, which are extremely promising materials for the aviation industry with an operating temperature of up to 850 °C, have high specific strength characteristics. The authors studied the influence

Plasmon–Exciton–Driven Modulation of the Electronic and Optical Properties of MoS2 via Cayley Tree Fractal Nanostructures

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
This work investigates the change in optical and electronic properties of monolayer MoS2 through the coupling of its excitons and a plasmonic fractal structure. The formation of the heterostructure shows significant enhancement on the edge of the fractal pattern relative to off, owing to the enhanced electric field at the edge of the branches.

The Application of Hydrochar Composite Briquettes for Sustainable Slag Foaming in the Electric Arc Furnace Process

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Hydrochar‐mill‐scale briquettes with varying C/O molar ratios (0.07–0.90) have been tested at 1650 °C to evaluate their slag foaming performance for electric arc furnace application. All seven briquette recipes developed succeed in promoting slag foaming.

The clashing of in situ and pre‐cast technologies—Western trends and local traditions in concrete engineering shaping shell construction in 20th‐century Hungary

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract After a blossoming pre‐World War II (WWII) period, the concrete construction industry in then‐socialist Hungary existed in a relative isolation from the Western World during the mid‐20th century. In this paper, we focus on the body of work of one of the then newly established state‐owned design offices, IPARTERV, to show how the isolation ...

Concrete in architecture: Redefining form, space, function, and insights from bibliometric analysis

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract Concrete has become a cornerstone in architectural and engineering innovation, as it seamlessly integrates structural performance with artistic expression. Its evolution from ancient opus caementicium to contemporary ultra‐high‐performance concrete illustrates its adaptability to the change in technological, environmental, and design paradigms.

A multiple linear regression analysis of hot corrosion attack on a series of nickel base turbine alloys [PDF]

open access: yes
Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine an equation for estimating hot corrosion attack for a series of Ni base cast turbine alloys. The U transform (i.e., 1/sin (% A/100) to the 1/2) was shown to give the best estimate of the dependent
