Observations during and after the periastron passage of Castor AB permit a rediscussion of the orbit (P = 467 yr, a = 6.80 arcsec). Also discussed are the motion of star C, parallax, and masses of the sextuple.

In situ lipolysis of castor oil in homogenised castor seeds
Biotechnology Letters, 1990Castor oil was lipolysedin situ in homogenised castor seeds to the extent of 87% in 2 hr at pH 4.8 and 25–37°C, without recourse to isolation of lipase and oil from castor seeds.

Studies on castor oil. II. Hydrogenation of castor oil
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1957Summary Products of low iodine value (<10.0) and hydroxyl value (35–40) can be readily obtained by hydrogenating castor oil at atmospheric pressure and at temperatures of the order of 220°, using 1.0% Raney nickel. Dehydration of ricinoleic acid and subsequent hydrogenation of the resulting double bond as also simple saturation of ricinoleic acid ...
