Accuracy of 3-unit fixed dental prostheses fabricated on 3D-printed casts.

open access: yesThe Journal of prosthetic dentistry (Print), 2019
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Three-dimensional (3D)-printed casts are used successfully as diagnostic casts in orthodontics. However, whether 3D-printed casts are sufficiently accurate to be used as definitive casts for fixed dental prostheses (FDPs) is unclear.

Complementarity in direct searches for additional Higgs bosons at the LHC and the International Linear Collider

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2014
We discuss complementarity of discovery reaches of heavier neutral Higgs bosons and charged Higgs bosons at the LHC and the International Linear Collider (ILC) in two Higgs doublet models (2HDMs).

Cast syndrome [PDF]

open access: yesOxford Medical Case Reports, 2019
Cast syndrome, commonly known as superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome is a rare cause of small bowel obstruction caused by compression of third part of duodenum from narrowing of the angle between superior mesenteric artery and abdominal aorta resulting in symptoms of duodenal outflow obstruction.

Accuracy of casts produced from conventional and digital workflows: A qualitative and quantitative analyses

open access: yesThe Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics, 2019
PURPOSE Comparing the accuracy of casts produced from digital workflow to that of casts produced from conventional techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS Whole arch alginate (ALG) and polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) impressions were taken with stock trays and custom

Searches for additional Higgs bosons in multi-top-quarks events at the LHC and the International Linear Collider

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2015
We study direct searches of additional Higgs bosons in multi-top-quarks events at the LHC Run-II, its luminosity upgraded version with 3000 fb−1, and the International Linear Collider (ILC) with the collision energy of 1 TeV.

Comparative Evaluation of the Dimensional Accuracy of Closed Tray and Open Tray Impression Technique for Dental Implants using Two Different Impression Materials [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2018
Introduction: In the era of fixed prosthodontics where implant restorations are being routinely used, it is imperative for the dentist to correctly record the position and orientation of the implant.

Assessment of different techniques for 3D superimposition of serial digital maxillary dental casts on palatal structures

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Serial 3-dimensional dental model superimposition provides a risk-free, detailed evaluation of morphological alterations on a patient’s mouth. Here, we evaluated accuracy and precision of five palatal areas, used for superimposition of maxillary 3D ...

Iron homeostasis disruption and lipid peroxidation in skeletal muscle during short‐term immobilization

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
14‐day casting‐induced immobilization reduced gastrocnemius muscle mass and increased non‐heme iron and ferritin heavy chain levels. Despite iron accumulation, transferrin receptor 1 and iron regulatory protein 2 were paradoxically upregulated. Lipid peroxidation was elevated without compensatory antioxidant responses.

Surgical management of displaced fractures of the lateral humeral condyle in children: results of eightyear followup

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2021
Objectives: To evaluate long-term results of surgical treatment of fractures of the lateral humeral condyle in children.\nMethods: We evaluated 62 children (mean age 6.9 years) who underwent open reduction and osteosynthesis with Kirschner wires for ...
