Mucocutaneous disease activity and damage accrual in systemic lupus erythematosus: analyses from the Asia‐Pacific Lupus Collaboration longitudinal cohort study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective This research article aims to describe the prevalence, associations and health‐related quality‐of‐life (HRQoL) impact of mucocutaneous features of SLE. Methods Data from the Asia‐Pacific Lupus Collaboration cohort were analysed (2013‐2021). Mucocutaneous activity (MC‐A) items were rash, alopecia and mucosal ulcers; defined by the SLEDAI‐2K ...

Discordance between systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index domain weights and their association with organ damage accrual

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Studies of damage accrual in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) show associations with disease activity measured by the SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI‐2K), but these associations are imperfect. SLEDAI scores are powerfully influenced by weightings (1‐8) assigned to each domain.

The Plaster Cast and the Intimacy of the Studio

open access: yesGe-conservación, 2023
In the seventeenth century, plaster casts, which were essential sources of inspiration and instruction, became a recurring motif in images of Dutch painters’ workspaces, a marker of both intellectual and manual labor.

Generation and evaluation of 3D digital casts of maxillary defects based on multisource data registration: A pilot clinical study

open access: yesThe Journal of prosthetic dentistry (Print), 2017
Statement of problem Digital techniques are not clinically applied for 1‐piece maxillary prostheses containing an obturator and removable partial denture retained by the remaining teeth because of the difficulty in obtaining sufficiently accurate 3 ...

Call-by-name Gradual Type Theory

open access: yes, 2020
We present gradual type theory, a logic and type theory for call-by-name gradual typing. We define the central constructions of gradual typing (the dynamic type, type casts and type error) in a novel way, by universal properties relative to new judgments

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

The effect of long or shortarm casting on the stability of reduction and bone mineral density in conservative treatment of Colles’ fractures

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, 2020
Objectives: We evaluated the effect of long- or short-arm casting on the stability of reduction and bone mineral density (BMD) in the forearm in patients treated conservatively for Colles’ fractures (CF).\nMethods: Eighty-three patients (48 females, 35 ...

Comparison of Dental Study Plaster Cast and it's 3D Printed Equivalents

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2014
Introduction: Plaster casts present golden standard in keeping patients data in 3D. The aim of this work was (1) to compare linear measurements made on traditional plaster casts and 3D printed copies of dental plaster casts, (2) to find new possibilities

Configurational temperature of charge-stabilized colloidal monolayers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Recent theoretical advances show that the temperature of a system in equilibriumcan be measured from static snapshots of its constituents' instantaneous configurations, withoutregard to their dynamics.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for
